At a certain age (before 10), I dreamt of being an astronaut. At age 12, I wanted to be an accountant (my father and my brother are one by profession and education – see the two sweet souls again 😁). At age 15, I wanted to carry out geographical explorations. And then at age 16, I paused on having a dream🤣, but I definitely wanted to travel the world.
I’m writing from Lagos, Nigeria. I haven’t been outside South West Nigeria. But my dreams are still valid😁💙 no matter how many refinements – some dreams have to be refined to fit with your identity, they go through, and how long they take.

I am writing today, it was a dream that was refined😁. A dear friend who is more or less family and a big brother Alo Ayotomide tried to make me do this about two years ago. But I wouldn’t listen and now my journey has brought me here 😁. However, I’m thankful that he often said these words to me: “I’m proud of you”. There were times I felt I wasn’t doing the right thing or I was supposed to be doing something entirely different. But he always said the words “I’m proud of you”. And for the few times, he has had the opportunity to listen to my plans and dreams, he still says those words. Now, I commit to repeating those words to my circle. I do this to make them know that in the pursuit of their dreams and life goals, no matter how many times they fall and rise, take turns and curves, I’m proud of them. Because, the beauty and essence of any dream is in the journey to fulfilling it.

This is not a lengthy perspective. I just wanted to encourage you that whatever your dreams are, and from whatever part of the world you are reading this from “your dreams are valid”. The journey to becoming, is the most beautiful of all. So while you worry, sweat it out, plan, and pray it through, I’m proud of you for committing to your journey. More importantly, do not forget to live life whilst you are at it.

I never knew you wanted to he a writer but I know you could write very that’s why I use to shelve my letters for you to handle sometimes and other times we worked on our CEO’s letters together.
